Alden Daffodils

New Haven Haiku

These are haiku written on walks along Alden and Elm Streets and in the Edgewood Park in New Haven, Connecticut

 

 Alden daffodils--
Spring bursts out in vibrant hues;

Woodpeckers and cars. 

 

Sun rays play lightly
On Victorian houses
That line the still street.

Through the concrete crack
Small yellow heads are peeping:
Dandelions grow!

 

 Lion silhouette
Dark against the mottled sky
Protects from shadows.
