Canadian goose takes its time;
No rush in the spring.

Outside my window
A bright oriole flutters
Shooting yellow rays.

Dancers on the ice
Glide smoothly, twirling, spinning;
Their grace is liquid.

New Paltz in the Morning

Squirrel in center road
Sits up in the sun and glares,
Fearless but frozen.

Waiting for the bus
Pop pitches ball to daughter;
Lessons before school.
