Dorothy in the Air

Dorothy in the air
Flying just above the earth.
This is not Kansas.

Sitting in mid air;
Much firmer places to plotz
But not as much fun.







Coming in to land
Nomi eagle spreads her wings,
Lands like a feather.

Be careful below--
Everybody watch the sky.
Eagle is landing.

Mirror of mountains
The lake absorbs the sky and earth
And does not let go.

Around water's bend
Another mystery lies.
Is there a monster?

"Keep out of the weeds;
I own the wild grasses;
They belong to me!"

Sheltered on the stump
They grow softly and in peace:
With no where to go.
